Barça B are yet to lose in official competition this season in twenty matches at the Mini Estadi, a statistic that bodes well ahead of Sunday’s game. On Sunday from 18.00h (live on Barça TV and Radio Barça), the B side can secure promotion to the Second Division B. To do so they have to build on the 2-0 victory achieved last weekend away at Barbastro. The results achieved this season at the Mini Stadium bode well for Pep Guardiola’s side.

18 victories

The statistics says it all as Barça B have won eighteen of the twenty games they have played at the Mini Estadi this season. The first win came in the second game of the season against Balaguer (4-2) and the last came in the first round of the promotion play offs against Castillo (6-0). The only points dropped at home came via draws against Igualada (1-1) and Sant Andreu (1-1).

Goals per game

During those twenty games this season, Barça B have been in excellent goalscoring form. They have scored a total of 52 goals, that is an average of 2.6 a game whereas they have conceded just 20, an average of just one a game. Of those goals, 46 came in the league and six came against Castillo. It is worth mentioning that at home the club are far and away the league’s top scorers. They are followed by Sant Andreu, Ricoh Premià and Vilanova i la Geltru all on 39 goals.

Always scoring

Another interesting statistic is that Barça B have scored in all twenty home games this season. Furthermore, aside from the recent big win against Castillo, they have scored four goals in a game on four occasions, demonstrating their ability going forward. Those matches were against Balaguer (4-2), Manlleu (4-2), Europa (4-2) and Ricoh Premià (4-3).
